Project - Former Kidderminster Magistrates Court
Measured Building Survey
Project Overview
Former Kidderminster Magistrates Court is a Grade ll Listed Building in Worcestershire and was built in the mid 1800s. It was originally a carpet factory and offices before being acquired by the borough council in 1971 when it was partly converted to a magistrates court. It has been vacant since 2002 and parts of the site are in a poor state of repair.
There is an estimated £250,000 to cover the initial works and the local authority are hoping to receive grant money from the government’s £675 million Future High Streets Fund. Bury Associates were commissioned by Burrell Foley Fischer to drone and scan the site and produce a 3D photogrammetric model.
The intention is to create an enterprise centre to accommodate the town’s digital and technology sectors.
